Griffin’s OTF relocated to France

LONDON 1st JANUARY 2021:

Griffin has relocated its OTF and other regulated services to France. The change took effect on 1st January 2021 at the end of the Brexit transition period.

This means that all contracts which were previously listed on Griffin’s UK OTF, including physical gas and power and bilateral cash settled contracts, will now be offered through its French OTF. The move to an EU jurisdiction was essential for enabling Griffin’s customers to continue taking advantage of the C6 REMIT carve out – which ensures that physical gas and power contracts traded through an EU OTF are not considered financial instruments.
